Ethically sourced and manufactured

Here at Evolve Bamboo, we don't just want to create products that are incredibly comfortable and stylish for our customers; we also want to ensure that we look after our environment as much as possible. The bamboo plant has incredible benefits to the environment and is widely regarded as the most sustainable plant on our planet. However, how you manufacture products using the plant can be done unethically. Thus, we have taken extra time and energy to focus on the product manufacturing side of our business to ensure we create

Mission

Our mission is to inspire you to evolve

into your best self. We make sustainable activewear from bamboo 🎍🎋

A sustainable solution to chafing and riding up

sustainable underwear manufacturing process

Our underwear uses recycled polyester fabric in between the legs for a sustainable solution to combat those dreaded problems of chafing and riding up. By re-using waste plastics, we prevent harm to the ecological environment and food chain by bypassing the oil extraction required to make virgin polyester, which means we save water and use significantly less energy and oil consumption in the process.

The benefits of bamboo to the wearer

Supreme comfort – Bamboo is to cotton what cashmere is to wool – a softer and more luxurious feel. Bamboo viscose is also 3 times more absorbent than cotton. Because it absorbs moisture away from your skin, you feel dry and super comfortable.

Stays fresh for longer –  natural anti-bacterial qualities make it difficult for bacteria to sit on the surface, which means that our undies will stay fresh for longer; compared to synthetic materials. Our underwear is also very breathable - so when you exercise it will help you keep a cooler and more regulated temperature.

Kind to the skin – bamboo viscose is perfect for allergy-prone skin. Its natural anti-static properties make it a super soft material that doesn’t irritate your skin.

20% of our world's water pollution comes from the textile manufacturing industry. Here at Evolve Bamboo, we want to ensure that we don't add to this growing problem. Our manufacturer uses a closed-loop production process when creating our products: recycling water waste back into the production process, reducing their environmental impact.

They also use solar-powered manufacturing: 90% in the summer and 70% in the winter. The biggest clean energy positive for solar power is that, unlike the burning of fossil fuels, the conversion of sunlight into power creates no harmful greenhouse gas emissions.

A sustainable product that's also good for the environment

You know that trees are good for the environment, bamboo is even better

Bamboo helps clean the air we breathe. Bamboo grass absorbs five times more CO2 from the air than the equivalent amount of hardwood trees. Not only that, two-thirds of the carbon is stored in the soil and root system which – unlike trees and cotton – isn’t dug up when the bamboo is harvested, so the carbon stays in the ground. Bamboo also releases 35% more oxygen than its hardwood tree equivalent.

No polluting

pesticides

Bamboo doesn’t need pesticides in order to thrive. Pesticides can contaminate fresh drinking water supplies and cause serious damage to soil health and surrounding ecosystems.

Reduce your

footprint

Because bamboo stays fresh for longer, it needs less washing. The way we do laundry has a huge ecological effect and cutting back on washing (and particularly tumble drying) drastically reduces the carbon footprint of your clothing.
